My name is Tara Swan

After a long period of time, I am finally back and I am happy to be back!

I am a portrait and fine art photographer, born and raised in the SF bay area. I am a total hippie at heart with a witchy spirit. I have been taking photographs since I was in high school and since then, photography has truly changed and, in many ways, saved my life. Although I seem very happy and bright of a person, my work usually tends to be a little more dark and edgy. Shocker, hu?

And the thing is? I shoot all, 100% film. It is my life force when it comes to photography and I love the medium more than anything.
I also do a touch of mixed media as well. Although my painting skills are in no way "realistic", I incorporate the color and texture of paint and metal to influence my work. Although I have just started creating this art form, I have truly loved to do it. All pieces are one of a kind and I never recreate the same.

Now a days, I work at a customer service job with being a portrait photographer on the side. I have recently been enjoying being apart of art shows, exhibits, and galleries.
Other than being a photographer, I am an animal lover with a passion for training horses and horseback riding.
